Our pupils and families have often experienced difficult educational journeys. Parents and carers are the experts on their child and know them best. The Wymering School has a strong ethos built on the principle of ‘togetherness’ where we work with our families for the benefit of their child to achieve so we achieve our vision for them to be creative, confident and caring individuals who are ready for the next stage of their educational journey.
There is strong evidence to show that when families and education work in partnership the long-term outcomes of pupils improve. The family support team at Wymering works directly with families to ensure the best provision possible for our young people and their families. This may be family learning, advice, attending events, access to services or simply someone who will listen.
